GEF-7 FOLUR PROJECT Recruitment Kalahandi

The Office Of The Project Director Watersheds Cum District Nodal Officer, GEF-7, Kalahandi, Bhawanipatna is inviting applications from interested candidates for engagement in different posts for GEF-7 FOLUR PROJECT. The selected candidates will be posted in any 3 blocks of Kalahandi district i.e. Th. Rampur, Koksara, and Golamunda.

The details are as follows:

  • Adv. NO. – 1972 Dated – 17/08/2024
  • Name of the Posts – Dist. Coordinator, Dist. Finance Expert, Agronomy Expert, Institutions Expert, Block Coordinator, and Block Facilitators.
  • Number of Positions – 16 (Total).
  • Duty Station – GEF-7 Office, Berhampur
  • Post Type – Contractual
  • Age – Not below 21 years and not above 62 years of age as of 17/08/2024.
  • Salary – Rs 30,000 – Rs 75,000 per month plus annual performance incentives at 5% for selected posts.
  • Tenure – 01 year or closure of the project whichever is earlier from the date of joining, which may be extended every year subject to the candidate’s project continuance and satisfactory performance.

District Coordinator Post Details

  • Number of Positions – 01
  • Salary – Rs 75,000/month plus annual performance incentive at 5%
  • Educational Qualification – Master’s Degree in Agricultural/Science/Forest Resources Management/Environmental Science/Environment Engineering/Agricultural Engineering/Agrometeorology.
  • Experience – Must have at least 5 years of working experience in Project Planning/Implementation/Monitoring/Evaluation related to Agriculture/NRM/Biodiversity and climate change projects. Proven experience in the participatory planning process and dialogue facilitation between government, development partners, private sector, civil society, and community. Ability to lead large development projects and the district level.
  • Skills – Good analytical and report-writing skills. High levels of computer literacy, and skills to use Microsoft Office packages. Must be proficient in English and Odia.

District Finance Expert Post Details

  • Number of Positions – 01
  • Salary – Rs 70,000/month plus annual performance incentive at 5%
  • Educational Qualification – Master’s Degree in Finance & Accounting/Business/Administration (Finance)/Cost Accounting/Chartered Accountancy.
  • Experience – Must have 03 years of relevant experience in financial and administration management. Good financial planning tracking, control capacities, and reporting. Experience in facilitating financial audits and related financial compliances. Exposure to general project/Office administration activities. Should have worked with Govt. sector/Non-Government organizations/donor-funded projects.
  • Skills – Knowledge and experience of accounting software. Must be proficient in English and Odia. High levels of computer literacy, and skills to use Microsoft Office packages.

District Agronomy Expert Post Details

  • Number of Positions – 01
  • Salary – Rs 60,000/month plus annual performance incentive at 5%.
  • Educational Qualification – Master’s Degree in Agronomy/Soil Science/Horticulture (Fruit or Vegetable Science).
  • Experience – At least 5 years of in-depth knowledge of crop management/Soil and Water Conservation. Good knowledge and understanding of innovative and sustainable climate resilient Agricultural/Horticultural practices. Must have exposure to designing and implementing projects on sustainable agriculture, organic and natural farming, climate-smart Agriculture, crop diversification, land restoration measures, and Soil & Water Conservation. Have exposure to farming practices for Rice/Millets/Horticultural crops (desirable). Should have experience in engaging with relevant stakeholders at the district and block levels.
  • Skills – Should have skills to analyze the Agricultural and related context of the district. Must be proficient in English and Odia.

District Institutions Expert Post Details

  • Number of Positions – 01
  • Salary – Rs 50,000/month plus annual performance incentive at 5%
  • Educational Qualification – Master’s Degree in Rural Development/Agricultural Economics/Agricultural Extension/Social Work/Social Anthropology/Agricultural Business Management with Degree in Agri & allied Sciences/Agricultural Marketing.
  • Experience – At least 5 years of relevant experience in Rural Development projects, especially those related to agriculture-based rural livelihoods, natural resource management etc. Should have experience in promoting and strengthening community institutions like SHGs federations, farmers’ Interest groups (FIGS)/FPO/Cooperatives, Village Development Committees etc. Have experience in designing and facilitating training and capacity-building programs for the community. Must have experience in engaging with multiple stakeholders at the district and block levels like Government departments, Panchayat Raj Institutions, NGOs, community, private players etc. Should have a good understanding and experience in working on gender and social inclusion issues.
  • Skills – Must be proficient in English and Odia.

District Block Coordinator Post Details

  • Number of Positions – 03
  • Salary – Rs 40,000/month
  • Educational Qualification – Graduate in Agriculture and allied Sciences.
  • Experience – Should have a minimum of 03 years of experience working on any rural development project with the Government or NGO. Have experience in coordinating development projects at the block level. Experience of engaging with multiple stakeholders at the block and GP level.
  • Skills – Must have a strong ability to do socio-economic analysis at the block and GP level. Have good training/facilitation and communications skills. Must be proficient in Odia and have basic knowledge of any local dialect (preferable). Should have basic computer skills.

District Block Facilitators Post Details

  • Number of Positions – 09
  • Salary – Rs 30,000/month
  • Educational Qualification – Graduate in Agriculture and allied Sciences including Home Science (4 years Course)/Community Science (4 years course)
  • Experience – Should have a minimum of 02 years of experience working on any rural development project with government or NGO. Have experience in coordinating development projects at the block level. Experience of engaging with multiple stakeholders at the block and GP level.
  • Skills – Should have a strong ability to do socioeconomic analysis at the block and GP levels. Have Good training/facilitation and communications skills. Must be proficient in Odia and have basic knowledge of any local dialect (preferable).

Selection Process

The candidates appearing for walk-in interviews will be firstly screened by assessing the CV and certificates produced at that time against the minimum eligibility criteria outlined above for respective positions. The candidate who qualifies the minimum eligibility criteria then only he/she will be allowed to appear for the personal interview. If there will be candidates eligible to appear for interviews large in numbers then the interview process may be extended for the next day.

The candidates will be evaluated on aggregate marks obtained in their Academic career, relevant experience, and personal interview out of 100 marks. The candidates with the highest score will be selected.
