Applications from interested candidates are invited for the engagement of Gram Rojgar Sevak (GRS) under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) in the Nayagarh district. The selected candidates will be posted in any Gram Panchayat of this District.

- 5 years of upper age relaxation for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC/Women Category.
- 10 years of upper age relaxation in case of PwD.
Salary – Rs 7,000 per month for the 1st year, Rs 8,500 per month for less than 06 years, and Rs 8,880 after 06 years.
Tenure – 01 year which may be further extended on satisfactory performance.

Other Eligibility Requirements

He/She can speak, read, and write Odia fluently.
- Must have passed the Middle School examination with Odia as a language subject or
- Passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as a medium of examination in non-language subjects or
- Passed in Odia as a language subject in the final examination of Class VII or above or
- Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department.
He/She has computer proficiency at the “O” level and uses the Odia language on computers.
Must be an Indian citizen.
He/She should be of good character & in sound health and must be free from any physical defect.
He/She must have not more than one spouse living.
The candidates must be a resident of the same district only for which he/she is applying.

Selection Process

The selection will be done based on marks obtained in 10+2 or its equivalent examination. Marks obtained in the 4th optional subject will not be considered.

In case two or more candidates secure the same marks, the candidate older in age as per date of birth in the HSC Certificate will be given priority above the younger in the selection list. Furthermore, if the age of two or more candidates is the same, the candidate who has passed the HSC examination earlier will be placed above the other in the selection list.

Note: Computer proficiency is only qualifying in nature and will not count for determining the order of merit.

Interested candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria can send the duly filled application form along with self-attested supporting documents to the “CDO-cum-EO, Zilla Parishad, Nayagarh, Odisha” by registered/speed post by 23/09/2024 (05:30 PM). The envelope of the application form should be superscribed with “Application for the post of Gram Rozgar Sevak (GRS) of Nayagarh District“.

Self-attested Residential Certificate.
Self-attested Caste Certificate.
Self-attested Certificate of Disability (if applicable).
Self-attested Certificate relating to Ex-Servicemen/Sportspersons (if applicable).
01 recent color passport-size photograph affixed to the application form.

Note: The date of examination will be communicated later and all documents in original should be produced at the time of verification.
