Educational Qualification for Guest Teachers Recruitment

The educational qualifications for the Guest Teacher position are as follows:

For classes 1 to 07 – The candidates should have passed Matric/+2 Arts/science with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with CT.
For Classes 08 to 10 – The candidates should have passed BA/BSc with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with B.Ed.
For Classes 11 to 12 – The candidates should have passed PG in the subject concerned with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with B.Ed.

Note – Preference will be given to retired teachers and candidates having teaching experience.

Salary for Guest Teachers Recruitment

The selected candidates as guest teachers will be paid Rs 300 per class/period at the elementary level and not exceeding Rs 12,000 in a month. At Secondary and Higher Secondary levels, the selected candidates will be paid Rs 400 per class/period and not exceeding Rs 16,000 in a month.

The selected candidates can take a maximum of 40 classes in a month.

Age for Guest Teachers Recruitment

The maximum age of the candidates as Guest Teachers at the time of engagement should be 62 years and the retired teacher engaged as a Guest Teacher will be disengaged upon attaining the age of 65 years.

Fees for Guest Teachers Recruitment

The examination fees for different categories are as follows:

UR – No Fees
SEBC – No Fees
SC – No Fees
ST – No Fees

Selection Process

The selection will be done based on career weightage, Teaching Experience, and performance in the Interview. The division of marks is as follows:

–> 50% Career Weightage – 50 marks which will be divided as follows:

1st division – 50 Marks
2nd division (with minimum 50% marks) – 30 marks

–> 30% Teaching Experience – 30 marks which will be divided as follows:

1 year – 10 marks
2 years – 20 marks and
3 years and above – 30 marks.

–> 20% Interview – 20 marks

Note – If the total marks scored by two or more candidates will be equal, the candidate scoring a higher percentage of marks in CT or B.Ed. will get preference.

How to Apply?

Eligible candidates who fulfill the required criteria can send the filled prescribed application form along with self-attested supporting documents to the “District Welfare Officer, Angul” by registered/speed post by 07/02/2025 (05:00 PM).

Note: The envelope of the application form should be superscribed with “Post Applied for _______”.

The following documents need to be attached to the application form:

Self-attested photocopy of the educational certificate and mark sheet.
Self-attested photocopy of the residential certificate issued by the competent authority.
02 recent color passport-size photographs self-attested to be affixed to the application form.

Terms and Conditions of Guest Teachers Recruitment

After selecting as one of the Guest Teachers, the candidates can take a maximum of 40 classes in a month.
After selection, he/she would have no right to claim for appointment regularly nor he/she will be a part of the cadre of teachers of the SSD Department.
The Guest Teacher’s engagement will automatically end once a regular/contractual teacher is appointed/engaged or when the appropriate authority decides.
Working hours and period duration of the selected candidates as a Guest Teacher will be as per the school timetable.
The performance of the selected candidate as a Guest Teacher will be reviewed regularly. If any teacher is found to be non-performing or engaged in activities leading to misconduct, he/she will be terminated by the appropriate authority under intimation to the DWO.
The Guest Teacher so engaged will also be entrusted with correction and evaluation work of the concerned subject in the School and he/she will not be entitled to extra honorarium for such work.
Application received from registered/speed post will only be accepted.
The selected Guest Teacher unauthorizedly remaining absent and not taking classes for a continuous period of 15 days or more will be terminated and will never be entertained further.
He/she should also have to do timely correction of classes, home assignments, test papers, projects, etc.
Preference will be given to retired teachers and candidates having teaching experience.
No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates appearing for the interview.
The authority reserves the right to cancel/modify the advertisement and increase/decrease the notified vacancies without assigning any reason.
